Kahoolave Island

Previously, the island was used as a training ground for the US Navy and Air Force. Currently, it is still uninhabited and access is denied. Kahoolave was returned to the state in 1994.

On March 18, 1981, the island was added to the US National Register of Historic Places. At that time, there were 544 archaeological and historical sites on the island.
