July 3rd, 2009 LIHU‘E — Registration forms for the Speed and Quickness football clinics are now online, states a release from the county’s anti-drug office. LA QUINTA, Calif. — Kelli Oride of Lihu‘e claimed her second American Junior Golf Association victory after outlasting Danielle Kang of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and Jennifer Johnson of La Quinta, Calif. in a sudden-death playoff, over the weekend. July 2nd, 2009 Several members of the Kaua‘i Gateball Club traveled to the Big Island for a home and home series with the Kohala Gateball Club. The round robin series of games was held at the Kamehameha Park Complex located in Kohala. Teams participating were Kohala, Kaua‘i, Waikoloa and Kohala-Kaua‘i mix. A small dedication of the field was held in memory of Garett Pasco, a founding member of the Kohala Club, who passed away recently. The Kaua‘i Club presented a scoreboard to the Kohala Club in appreciation for their invitation to this event. A banquet was also held at the Kohala Senior Center. Karaoke, skits, dancing, food and fellowship was enjoyed by everyone.
