Been coming to the islands since 1962, no more Maui,Ohau,and Big island. Too many condos and traffic. We are coming to Kauai, quiet, laid back and great local people. We will be there in Sept for 3 weeks, staying at i resort and 2 condos. This is to help spread around the $$$. Please do not let then spoil this island also. Westmauited & Mango Mary

we have to kauai 10 time over the last 9 years and just love the island and the people we wish we could spend more time with the locals and there lifestyles but 2 weeks each year is not enough time

I just love Kauai so much!!! Is it really true the Coco Palms will reopen? I will be there when that happens. I remember staying there and I just loved it!! When will it reopen? I will be out on the next flight there!!

I first visited Kauai back in 1976. The island captured my heart, and I have been going back ever since. It is truly heaven on earth! I still cry when It's time to leave. My next trip will be this October. I can't wait!

Hawaiian Treasures Concert- Last week saturday, we went to a concert here in Ventura, California. The entertainers were, Uncle George Kahumoku, Uncle Richard Hoopii and Uncle Dennis Kamakahi. It was wonderful listening to good, jamming hawaiian music. The concert was brought to us, by a Hula Halau called Puanani Ha'aheo, here in Ventura. Plenty mahalo, to the Uncle's for sharing their aloha, and also thankyou to Lowell and Sylvia Edgar and their halau, for bringing the hawaiian music here to Ventura.

Thank you La Verne Bishop for listing the ingredients for "ICE." I have most of those ingredients at home. Listing ingredients was in my opinion unnecessary. But, Thank You for a very informative article. I mean it.! When I visit Kauai, it saddens me to see friends and family members using drugs! Very sad...

Aloha from Oklahoma City! My husband, my parents, myself, and friends just left Kaua'i on Sunday...I cried when I left. I love Kaua'i so much, the beauty there is more than one can perceive with the eyes! I felt it in my heart. The island smiled at me through the eyes of every person I met while I was there. Had a wonderful time with our visiting malihini's. Mom and sista Leinani came to visit with sista Anela in northern calif. and with me in southern california....we are all from Kauai.....mom and Leinani live in Mililani and will be returning to sunshine and blue skies after visiting with us here for 12 days...gonna miss them

GDAY and Aloha from Australia I am visiting Kauai for a week from 14 May to 20 May, with a Friend and her 17 yr old son As we are on Pensions can anyone suggest some cheap accomodation there, Clean, and Basic, we dont drive, so maybe wise to get something in lihue, close to amenities We are 2 ladies in late 50s, so any reply re accomodation would be appreciated thanks and mahalo Regards Cathy:)
