Blanchard joins Supergirls
by The Garden Island
Hanalei’s Alana Blanchard is one of three Hawai‘i athletes who will be heading out to Huntington Beach, Calif., for the Second Annual S3 Supergirl Jam.
The unique three-day event from July 25 to 27, featuring surfing, skateboarding and snowboarding competitions will run in conjunction with Go211 Live featuring the U.S. Open of Surfing and is guaranteed to be jam-packed full of fun extras such as free skateboarding clinics, autograph sessions, sponsor booths and live music by The Donnas and The Clique Girlz.
The event will be hosted by a committee of four talented female athletes, Gretchen Bleiler (snowboarding), Lyn-Z Adams Hawkins (skateboarding), Kassia Meador (surfing) and Fabiola da Silva (inline), who possess the qualities of a Supergirl “actionista.”
Along with Blanchard, O‘ahu’s Coco Ho and Hilo’s Jesse Sutton have been invited.
