Kiyoshi Inouye
Kiyoshi Inouye of Lihu‘e passed away at Wilcox Hospital on Feb. 29, 2008, at the age of 81. Born in Lihu‘e on Aug. 10, 1926, he was an electrical inspector with the county of Kaua‘i.
He is survived by a son, Stanford Inouye of ‘Aiea, O‘ahu; daughter Diane Fukuyama of Lihu‘e; three grandchildren; brother Yukitoshi Inouye of Lihu‘e; sisters Matsuyo Tamura of Lihu‘e and Hanayo Kawamura of Kilauea; numerous nieces nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, at the Lihu‘e Hongwanji Mission. A service officiated by Rev. Hashimoto will begin at 5 p.m. Casual attire is suggested and the family asks that flowers be omitted.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary Ltd.
Mary Ann K. Lindsey
Mary Ann K. Lindsey of Kapa‘a passed away on Friday, March 14, 2008, at her home with her loving family by her side, at the age of 81. Born on Sept. 30, 1926, in Captain Cook, she was employed by Hawaiian Bitumuls and Niu Construction as a dispatcher/weighmaster. Her love was doing scenic oil paintings.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald R. Lindsey.
She is survived by her son William “Boogie” (Lovey) Lindsey of Waimea; daughters Vivian K. Lindsey of Kihei and Linda Ann L. (Samuel) Wong of Kapa‘a; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, at Kapaa First Hawaiian Church. Casual attire is suggested.

Irving Corbett
Irving Corbett of Kalaheo died on March 15, 2008, at Maha‘ulepu Beach while kite surfing from an apparent heart attack. He was born July 12, 1957, in Jacksonville, Fla.
As a child, he was able to go around the world twice, once on a cargo ship, and once on a freighter ship. This instilled a love of travel that stayed with him throughout his life. During his lifetime he worked as a golf pro, ski instructor, owned a windsurfing shop, and worked as a handyman. He had recently begun building his own home in Kalaheo.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Katy, and daughter Madison Kate.
Irving will be remembered as a gentle man who was kind and listened well. He was devoted to his family and loved being a husband and father. His faith in God gave him a peace that passes all understanding.
The family wishes to express its deep gratitude to those on the beach who came to his aid and tried everything they could to save him. Mahalo.
Visitation will begin at noon on Saturday, March 22, with services starting at 1 p.m. at the Kalaheo Missionary Church. Scattering of his ashes will follow at Maha‘ulepu Beach at 3 p.m. The family requests no flowers, please.

Elizabeth Ann Huseman
Elizabeth Ann Huseman died on March 11, 2008, at her daughter’s home in Kalaheo at the age of 79. Born Jan. 24, 1929, in Shanghai, China, she was a homemaker, school library assistant, and master seamstress and needleworker.
She grew up in China and finished her education at Nardin Academy in Buffalo, N.Y., before joining the U.S. Navy in Norfolk, Va. She met and married Frank W. Huseman and spent 28 years as a military wife, traveling the world and raising her family. After retirement, the couple settled in Lakewood, Colo., where they lived for many years.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, LCDR. Frank W. Huseman Jr., Ret., and son Paul T. Huseman.
She is survived by her son William (Kendra) Huseman of Tennessee; daughters Joan (Richard) Shaw of Kaua‘i and Ann (Kenneth) Duffy of Colorado; and 11 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kaua‘i Hospice. A celebration of her life will be held in Colorado at a later date.
Mildred “Millie” Parraga Nakea
Mildred “Millie” Parraga Nakea of Kekaha died on March 13, 2008, at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 83. Born Dec. 19, 1924, in Kaua‘i, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Mary Parraga; husband George Nakea; and brother Antone “Tony” Parraga.
She is survived by her caregiver Lori Parraga; brothers Joe Parraga of Texas and Louis (Margaret) Parraga Jr. of Kekaha; sisters Alice (Alfred) Reis of California and Mary (John) Ruiz of Kekaha; sister-in-law Shirley Parraga of Kekaha; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Private services will be held at a later date.
