Police are looking for a 30-year-old man who has been missing since December.

Chad Lastimosa of Koloa, is one of six people for whom the Kaua‘i Police Department are searching.

Lastimosa was last seen at the Lihu‘e Airport on Dec. 18 where a friend dropped him off, according to police.

He was supposed to catch a plane to Honolulu.

His brother Benjamin said Chad never made it.

Chad is a friendly, “people” person, Benjamin Lastimosa said, noting, “We do not think this was a suicide.”

Police describe Chad Lastimosa as 5 feet, 8 inches tall, 190 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.

He has a tan complexion and a medium build. He is of Filipino descent.

Police also are asking residents for help in several other open missing persons cases, Mary Daubert, county spokeswoman, said.

The list includes Susan Scanlan, Matthew Barraza, Chester Caluya, Clifford Culloden and Daniel Marks.

The department is not listing Piotr Drabik, a missing scientist who was last seen Sept. 1.

Scanlan, 54, of Koloa, last made contact with friends on Nov. 6.

Scanlan is 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighs 140 pounds and has green eyes and shoulder-length brown hair. She has a fair complexion and a medium build.

Scanlan is of Caucasian descent.

Barraza, 26, from Las Vegas, last made contact with his family on Aug. 26. He was reported missing on Oct. 7.

Barraza is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighs 130 pounds, and has brown eyes and medium-length brown hair.

He has a dark complexion, medium build, a vine-like tattoo that extends from his left shoulder down to his chest and a 1-1/2 inch Hawaiian tattoo that extends from his right shoulder down to his elbow.

Barraza is of Caucasian decent.

Seventeen-year-old Caluya was last seen on Aug. 6 at a party held at a Kekaha beach known as “Inters” or “Second Ditch.”

Caluya is 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighs 135 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair.

He has a dark complexion, slight build, a mole on the right side of his upper lip and a scar over his eyebrow. He is of Filipino descent.

Also still missing is California resident Clifford Culloden, 59. The last time he contacted a family member was in April while he was visiting Kaua‘i.

Culloden is 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds and has blue eyes and thinning, white hair.

Culloden has a fair complexion and a medium build and is of Caucasian descent.

Marks, a 24-year-old, from Portland, Ore., arrived on Kaua‘i Nov. 9, 2005, and was scheduled to leave the island a week later. He was reported missing by his sister later that month.

Marks is 5 feet, 8 inches tall with brown hair and eyes.

He was last reported to have been wearing a beard and to have weighed between 130 to 140 pounds.

He has small tattoos above both his temples that are barely visible.

Marks is of Caucasian descent.

Extensive searches for Marks in the area where he was last seen, Kalaulau Lookout, did not locate him.

Anyone with information about Barraza, Caluya, Culloden, Lastimosa, Marks or Scanlan is urged to call Police Dispatch at 241-1711, Missing Person Unit at 241-1696 during normal business hours, or Crime Stoppers at 241-1887.

" The Board and community would have been proud of their elected and government officials during the earth quake emergency. It was questioned by the Board that City Budget and Fiscal Services Director was the acting Mayor and Bennett confirmed this because the Mayor was on a tour of Okinawa and South Korea and Managing Director Wayne Hashiro was away on a trip to Japan. By 10:30 a.m., a signed Declaration of Emergency was sent to Washington D.C. to enable FEMA to come in and provide emergency funding.
