" The article concerning Major General Gerald C. Brant was very interesting to me. I graduated from USAF Flying Training in early 1953 with Gen Brant's nkephew, Harry Whiting. Harry related many of the details of Gen. Brant's career to me, including a lot more detail concerning Gen. Brant's efforts to preclude the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. It has been reported that a Japanese war plane has recently been discovered on Niihau and determined to have landed there well before the attack on Dec. 7, 1941, providing further evidence that Gen. Brant had been prescient in pushing Col Billy Mitchell's theory of an attack on the Hawaiian Islands. "
