Western Union accepts child-support payments
By TGI STAFF
The next time you’re in the Princeville Foodland stocking up on the staples, or trapped in bumper-to-bumper traffic somewhere on Kuhio Highway (Highway 56), and you suddenly realize that you’ve got to make a child-support payment, don’t fret.
You can now make child-support payments at a few local grocery stores via Western Union.
So, instead of making a mad dash to the Lihu‘e State Building, stop in at anyone of Kaua‘i’s four Western Union locations: Princeville Foodland, Kmart in Lihu‘e, Star Market at Kukui Grove Center, or Safeway at Waipouli’s Kaua‘i Village.
You’ll avoid both a speeding ticket and jail time for being a "deadbeat," but it won’t come cheap.
Western Union typically charges $15 for the first $100, and another $6 for every $100 thereafter.
